Abstract :
The increase in the price of fuel oil and electrical energy scarcity become an important issue. Increasing food production to meet the primary needs of a growing population, will provide the organic waste is also increasing, so as to provide an organic waste as a substrate in anaerobic digestion to produce bio-energy, collectively and potentially greater amounts. Stage anaerobic digestion process involves biochemical and physical aspects of micro habitats konsorsia microbes involved. So important is the exploration efforts and characterization of organic waste. The aims are 1). characterization of physical chemistry of food stalls biomass waste, industrial waste tapioca, and soybean curd. 2) Study the management of food waste substrate in anaerobic digestion process for biogas production. Research carried out by using anaerobic biodigester modification, jerry capacity of 5 L and the analysis parameters COD, BOD, TS and VS (g / L), pH, temperature (oC) and biogas (L) according to standard methods (standard method). Efficiency of organic removal (%) during the anaerobic digestive process incubation 6 weeks of the three types organic waste substrates diner, tapioca industry, and industry tahu between of COD 62%, 63%, 77%, BOD 41%, 61%, 74%. TS 81%,49%, 40%. VS 62%, 57% and 34%. The acidity (pH) for restaurant waste between 6 - 7, the waste industry tahu 7 - 8, and tapioca waste between 6 - 8.
